Despite his small town upbringing there has never been any doubt that Paul Freeman was a man born for the big stage. Raised in Wales, and fed on a diet of all things West Coast, he now resides in sunny Los Angeles and has been making waves since his feet first touched Californian tarmac some three years ago. Inspired by early Springsteen and Billy Joel, it’s his distinctive ‘Big Band’ sound and energetic live shows, not to mention his vibrant personality and touching song writing ability, which has given rise to an ever-growing reputation. Having signed with major label Arista Records last year, Freeman is well on his way to living the American dream he was destined for.

At the tender age of ten Brent Shuttleworth was given a copy of ‘The Sky Is Crying’ by Stevie Ray Vaughn - an encounter he cites as the single most definitive moment of his musical career to date. The record opened his young mind to a world of emotion that enabled him to grow in to the potent, soulful artist he is today. Finding inspiration from a number of artists has allowed Shuttleworth to develop his own distinguishable style that fuses the very best elements of soul, rock and hip hop music with lyrics of depth and honesty to create a sound packed with vitality

Given that her burgeoning reputation is showing little sign of relenting there may not be many more opportunities to see Rosi Golan on such an intimate stage as this. It would appear to be only a matter of time before this Israeli born singer-songwriter makes a deserved name for herself - and her sultry live shows only add weight to that belief. Influenced by such candid lyricists as Norah Jones and Ray Lamontagne, Golan leaves little to the imagination with her own intimate style of writing. Her chic, sensual vocal lends itself perfectly to a collection of personable songs that can arouse and delight audiences in the here and now yet still resonate long after.

Blessed with a voice of infinite possibility, Kyle Ervin’s initial promise looks set for realisation this year. Here we have an artist that flourishes in a live environment and, armed with just a guitar and that remarkable vocal reminiscent of Morrissey, Ervin has been winning fans and friends alike for some time with his sublime folk rock sound. His magnetism and zest for life are all too prevalent and instil energy and pomp to a collection of songs intent on charming audiences from the very first chord - quite simply a delight to see live.
